The terms and conditions presented below are moving industry standard information and are not unusual or unique to our company. What is unique is our effort to ensure a stress-free, “no-surprises” move for our customers by providing this information up-front, rather than waiting until your move is in progress. When -considering pricing from other movers, please make sure you cover all of the information below with each mover, especially if the information is not addressed in their terms and conditions as we have done for you.

This estimate represents a full service, professional move. It is a written estimate which supersedes any understanding derived from communication with a company representative either verbally or through emails.
This estimate assumes that all non-furniture items will be pre-packed by the customer and ready to load unless otherwise specified. It is based on information provided by the customer.

*** Basic disassembly & reassembly of larger, common, furniture items
*** Protective moving materials; blankets, dollies, shrink wrap and tape included at no charge and are NOT considered packing supplies as noted below.
*** Wardrobe boxes available – each box is $5 to rent (use during moving only).
*** No charges for additional stops.
*** Basic valuation protection of $.60 per pound per article unless the customer choose an upgraded valuation option.
The following is NOT included in the estimate: (Unless requested and a fee has been added above)
Packing supplies- (ie: mattress covers, bubble wrap, boxes, tape, etc.) All fragile items must be boxed or protected prior to the arrival of the movers. All fragile items, eg: TVs, computer systems, marble objects, lamps, plastic bags, etc. will be professionally packed and handled by our movers at the expense of the cost of supplies, if not prepared in advance. We have the right to deny moving any item(s) that is/are not properly packed by the customer, not packed by the mover, or are at increased risk of damage during transport. Please remove all contents (clothing excluded) from furniture drawers in order to protect the furniture. Furnishings constructed of particle board and/or pressed wood, once assembled are easily damaged when moved regardless of the care taken by the movers. We will not assume responsibility for such items. Our crews will not load unprotected items on to the truck. Please note, furniture disassembled by customers prior to the move will not be reassembled by our moving team at the delivery location. The customer understands that Woody & Sons Moving will not be responsible for any items within boxes in which the customer has packed. Woody & Sons Moving will be responsible for any items within boxes in which our movers pack.
LIMITAION OF LIABILITY Woody and Sons will not be held liable for interior damage to electronics unless the exterior is visibly damaged. We will not be held liable for damage to furniture or building structure due to narrow hallways or unusual and/or difficult moving situations. Under no circumstances will we be liable for damage or disappearance of any valuables. Please make sure to remove articles of extreme or personal value, ie: furs, all personal electronic devices, precious metals/stones, jewelry, cash, checks, collectibles, documents, deeds, etc. prior to your move date. We have the right to deny moving any item(s) that are not properly packed customers, not packed by our movers, or are at increased risk of damage during transport.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Under no circumstances will Woody & Sons Moving take responsibility for any damages caused by disconnecting/reconnecting any appliances. Clients should have all washers/dryers, dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, or any other appliances disconnected, defrosted and drained prior to the move. Our team will willing to help disconnect and reconnect but we cannot accept any liability of damage due to this process as we are professional movers not plumbers, contractors, or electricians.
Labor Only Jobs ( W&S not providing a truck & transport) : The customer is responsible for supplying their own moving pad for any labor only (no company truck provided) jobs. One dozen pads per five feet of space is recommended. The customer understands that once the movers complete the job our liability for damage claims end. You or your transportation company takes possession once the work has been completed, this also applies to storage of items on your own account (PODS, storage units, UPack containers).
LABOR TIME Labor time starts when our movers arrive to your starting location (pull in and shut truck off) and concludes when they are finished unloading your shipment at your final delivery destination, eg: loading beginning at 9:00am, with unloading finishing at 5:00pm, equals total labor time of 8 hours. All time is charged to the following half hour. Driving time between pick-up and delivery locations on local moves is included in labor time. Some moves carry an additional trip charge, AKA fuel/service fee that is noted and included in your written estimate as an additional charge to the hourly rates xof which will be indicated in your written estimate.
MOVE DURATION Your move is based on actual time worked on the moving clock, the estimate is an estimate, not a �??do not exceed�?? rate. Each move is unique and its duration is determined by many factors, eg: customer preparedness, stairs, weather/driving conditions, truck loading proximity to property, distance between locations, size/weight of furniture pieces, and etal. SPECIAL HANDLING, eg. bulky, awkward, large, unusual, and/or fragile items such as pianos, canoes, kayaks, appliances, glass items, objects of art, large entertainment centers, motor cycles, etc. might be subject to additional “special handling charges” to cover the cost of properly securing such items to prevent damage to them or other items during the move.
FILING OF CLAIMS Please be aware there is always the possibility for damages and lost items regardless of the mover you choose. All claims are to be reported in writing and filed within 5 (five) days of your move date to be honored. We are not liable for any damaged or lost items beyond the basic valuation protection shown above.
INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS In the event a move is delayed it will be rescheduled to begin as soon as acceptable weather conditions allow even if the move has to be rescheduled for the next day in which a overnight storage fee may be applied.
TIPPING/GRATUITY Your moving team will work exceptionally hard, providing extra effort and concern to assure you receive a quality move by handling your items professionally and carefully. Rewarding this extra effort in the form of a tip or gratuity is NOT REQUIRED, but is customary and appreciated. If you would like to show your appreciation to your moving team in this way, the following standards may be helpful: For a small, one to two bedroom move; a $20 tip to each team member is appropriate. For a larger move, 15% to 20% of the total payment amount divided between the team members is appreciated.
EXTENDED ADDITIONAL LIABILITIES
The following are items that Woody & Sons Moving will move but, will not be responsible for damage to, unless they are properly packed by Woody & Sons employees:
Glass Top Tables Marble Items Pictures Statues Lamps Electronic Equipment Stereos Televisions Live Plants Computer Monitors
If you choose to do so, Woody & Sons Moving will properly pack these items for a possible additional charge and will, then, be held responsible for any damage occurred.
Woody & Sons Moving, will not be responsible for any internal damages on any electronics if there is no visible external damage to the item.
Please note: ALL items composed of particle board will not be covered by Woody & Sons Moving or through our insurance because particle board is considered to be a weak material.
The following items MUST be moved by the CUSTOMERS:
Money Firearms Stamp/Coin Collections Medications
Jewelry Stocks/Bonds Deed/Titles
IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances will a customer be permitted to enter a moving truck/trailer that has been provided by Woody & Sons Moving Inc. We respect and understand that you, the customer, are greatly concerned about your items however, please allow our professional movers to place your items on our truck.
The customer agrees that in the event that our movers believe damage is likely to occur or it is unsafe to move an item and, he/she elects to ignore the advice to of an employee/employees of Woody & Sons Moving Inc., he/she (customer) agrees to assume the costs incurred by damage resulting from the actions of our movers.

By accepting our estimate and booking your move, you confirm that:

*** You understand that any additional services or additional items not itemized on your contract can potentially result in additional time/fees.

Please understand that due to the nature of our business, delays may occur. These might incur, but are not limited to: traffic, weather, and/or mechanical breakdowns. WOODY & SONS MOVING maintains all vehicles on a regular basis to prevent mechanical breakdowns. Woody & Sons Moving reserves the right to cancel any move at our discretion.
